It's a poem story about a young girl pinning over her older boss. A young man enters the story. I only got about half way through as it sounds like a very young girls diary in rhyme of some sort. There's only 74 pages, so it could be read through.
Sonnet III has the term "copy books". Those were books that entry level clerks would hand write the letters that were sent and/or received for future reference. Later it was carbon paper to make a copy of the typed letter. Think of a copy machine or a scanner doing that job of having a copy now, or the "sent" folder of your email.
