Early Gregg Writer Magazines now Available on Google Books
Harvard Library recently allowed Google Books to scan all Gregg Writer magazine issues in their collection that were not already scanned. (Google Books scanned some full volumes years ago. Those are available through Google Books and the Haiti Trust.)
The recent scans include Gregg Writer magazine issues from 1901-1918. These scans include: —Complete Volumes: 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, 13, 17, 18 —Incomplete Volumes: 9 & 20
All of the above magazine issues can now be downloaded on Google Books as PDF files.
There are several challenges in locating these magazines because: —The volumes were broken down into separate PDF files. For example, Volume 18 is contained in 4 separate PDF files accessed from 4 separate Google Books web pages. —There is no single webpage that includes all of the links to the separate PDF files with identifying information for each link. —A Google Books search returns only 2/3 of these recently scanned magazines. They are listed out of order. —There is an OCLC World Catalog webpage that has links to all of these PDF files. The links are all labeled “Google” and appear out of order.
At the bottom of this post, there is a link to a PDF file that contains clickable links for all the Google Books webpages that contain these magazines. The links are listed in chronological order. The following information is included for each link: —Volume number —Issue numbers —Months —Years in complete volume __Whether Google Books contains the complete volume in separate PDF files.
Here is the link to the PDF file that lists the Google Drive links:
