Paragraph 109 See the attachment. Par 110. Spell the forms that you need to form. "yes" is represented by a small loop on the line of writing. Remember that the outline for 'agree' is written above the line with a space below it. Reread this at the end of the drill.

INTRODUCTION TO WRITING
You are now ready to write!
Go back to Assignment 2, Par 15. Yes you will start here just a little for practice. Read the first sentence. Then as you write it, read along (so bascially you will read it as you write it). You may write one word at a time, and that is fine. Go through the first 5 sentences at least once.
You are now a shorthand writer!
Yep that's it for now.
If you can record, record the written transcription for Assign 2, Par 15, first 5 sentences, and take it down in shorthand.

Do you feel ambitious? Do this for the next few assignments.
If you find this easy, skip a few assignments (around 4) and write about 3 sentences from the first part of the reading assignment. Repeat that process for the "class".
Then read the Reading and Writing Exercise. Read it thoroughly.
For homework: Read the reading and writing exercise. After a few days, write a few sentence. You don't have to write a lot. [Yes you can write the day after the class, but it isn't necessary. Of course make sure you can read it almost fluently.] Do not ever write anything you cannot read. This will only hinder your reading and writing abilities.
Self-Dictation of Assignment? Only what you have read and learned thoroughly. After you write it, read back what you took down. Practice some outlines you couldn't read.

Don't pressure yourself to write like the manual. Or like anyone else. Don't worry if you aren't writing as accurately and can read ony some outlines back or even write them fast. This is normal for a beginning student. Just know you got through the first 20 assignments and are now writing shorthand!

You won't be doing new matter dication until after 70 assignments. So practice what you have learned.
New matter dictation is taking down in shorthand verbage from some source that you haven't before. So you will be writing from fresh copy. This is a little difficult as you haven't encountered some words and outlines, so it may be difficult, therefore, in the FM you wait.

This is a good reason to read shorthand written by other writers. There's a wide variety, even among writers in the official books. As long as you're somewhere in the middle, it's fine.

You may wonder why you are waiting to take new matter dictation? It's because in the FM manual they have you learn the theory very thoroughly. So by the time you take new matter dictation, you will be able to with ease (only a slight pause on new words and maybe not even then).
