Par 176 Just read this paragraph. You don't need any explanation. This has repeatedly been taught without auddering a word except the last word in the drill 'period'. You will notice some outlines you have learned previously, such as 'ear' which will help you with 'burn' and 'burner', also 'cheer' which has been learned previously will help you with 'cheered'. Review the outline for 'period' several times in this drill. This is a common word. Par 177 This will be easy enough to learn without explanation too. Note the words 'merit' and 'guarantee' which you will want to learn very well. These are common words. Par 178. Review this list. Once learned thoroughly, pronounce, outloud, these outlines. Par 179. In many words we don't have to write the 'r' at all, because it isn't strongly sounded when pronouncing the word.' If you need help on this omission of the letter 'r', please see: greggshorthand.proboards.com/thread/209/anni Homework: Read thoroughly the assignment. Write the assignment. Take dictation from any recorded material you may have of previous lessons and this one.
