Before trying to the transcript in Anni FM or asking here, these are some steps to take.
1. spell the word in shorthand 2. sound out the word 3. read the rest of the sentence. This may help you grapsed the thought of the complete sentence. 4. read the paragraph or remaining reading material. Come back to the word you're not able to read and see if you can grasp it that way. 5. come here and ask if there is no transcript
Note: The first 4 ideas are from a 1950 First Year Teaching Shorthand textbook.

For #5, please post in the Homework thread. This will make it easier to find and others to help.

Another thought, the original writer may have wrote it wrong or in a way that is slightly different then what the manual specified. Just like regular handwriting, people write different. Most try to get it the same, but sometimes they just miss the mark.

Another option, it may have been written differently. For example, I noticed "can" as a brief form then written out in full in the Anniversary Functional Method ( greggshorthand.proboards.com/thread/128/ ).

Review the lesson for ideas.
Review the theory for the lesson. Was it a theory principle that you didn't master? Was it a word with the theory in the middle or end of the word?
Review the brief forms from the lesson. Could this be a brief form? Maybe part of a brief form (adding a prefix or suffix to the brief form)?
Review the phrases from the lesson. Was this one that is shown? Maybe it's one that's a part of the ones you just learned?
