Set a timer for one minute. Write as many sentences as you can in shorthand. Just free write them. Choose a subject if you'd like. See how many words you wrote. Check the outlines against the dictionary, theory book or other reference material you may have. Record the number of words written, including phrases and brief forms. Record any errors. Make a % of that and see where you are.
