I put in a few places the shorthand writer who said he wrote a 300 word article over and over totaling 50 times. Well I knew I wouldn't do 50 times ( greggshorthand.proboards.com/post/1449 ) , but I would do a page. And because I got my new fountain pen, I decided it's time for some more practice and to try this theory out. I like it. One page is doable and I can practice several outlines that way.

Sorry the picture is a little blurry, but you can read it on the bottom of the page. If not, let me know and I'll take another pic and post tomorrow. Error in my transcript. It should be "he anticipates and it is understood I will go." I'm sure "I will go" is a phrase, but I ran out of room on the line and decided to go on the next line. Always an option.

Another practice sheet. I've done several but just posting the best If you want to see some bad ones, I posted two of them under " Always Indicating Capitals?" One of them was my fountain pen not writing correctly. The other I was tired (and I'm keeping that excuse).

I've been trying to speed up on these sentences to practice the outlines fast. So in the second column, center, I wrote it fast and sloppy, of course, and then the last few lines I worked on gaining back control. The outlines I was working on was "positive" and "spelling" and just made up a sentence to go with them. It looked like to me that the "os" in "positive" is written below the line. So after double checking my two outlines in the book I had, I changed how I wrote it. It was on a blank page in the book, but it kind of did look lower and worked better for me so I wrote it that way.

This was a sentence from Graded Readings in a letter. I liked the phrases in it.

I really like doing these when I want to practice and don't want to do an entire "lesson" or more then just a sentence. These are great to do everyday if needed, because it's simple enough to write the same thing over and over. However, it does get a little harder when you've written it and then speed up and the notes get a bit inaccurate, but then after I've done that a few lines, I go back to accuracy.

I practiced more on the next page to get better. I'm just showing the first page.
