I got this idea from my daily word search calendar. How many times does the word SHORTHAND appear in this word search? I added some boxes to the right to check them off as you find them if you want to count (I don't know how many as I may have messed up). And if you want to print it easily or save it to a device to work offline, here's a pdf: SHORTHANDWS.pdf (109.93 KB)

Here's one with the Gregg Shorthand outline (Anniversary Edition) listed as the word to find. Read the outline, find the word in the boxes, circle the word in the boxes and cross out the outline.

I got this idea from my word search a day calendar. They gave the clues with no vowels. It did have a theme. For example, it has "crl" and you search for "cereal". But to make this a little harder, this one has vowels, but this has no theme, just random words. The letters relate to the outline. Each symbol is separated by hyphens. If there's a blend, such as "nt" I put those letter together. The first one is spelled out for you and that's what you look for in the boxes.

Another idea from my word search a day calendar (don't worry, I didn't get one for next year). This one had one word to find in one spot. Easy peasy. So I tried to find other words. This word search only contains the letters S, H, O, R, T, H, A, N, D. Find any other word besides 'shorthand' in this search. You can find the word more then once. For example the word 'rat' maybe in there a few times, circle it each time you find it. There is no key. Good luck.
